James Hook is one of the main protagonists of Warner Bros.' 2015 British-American fantasy film directed by Joe Wright, Pan; serving as a prequel to J. M. Barrie's Peter Pan story.

History

Pan

In the movie, he is one of Blackbeard's former miner slaves who longs for freedom, during his journey, he befriends Peter Pan and Sam "Smee" Smiegel, and develops a romantic interest for Tiger Lily.

At one point, he is shown to be a ladies man when he meets the Mermaids (half women, half electric eel-like creatures). Like in the novel, he fears crocodiles even at the very mention of their names.

Near the end of the movie, after defeating Blackbeard, he becomes the new captain of a new flying ship later called the Jolly Roger alongside his friends and allies.

Trivia

• A gag in the film have Hook always saying "What can possibly go wrong?" and right away, it was followed with a huge problematic things that follows after.
• In the end of the film, Peter asked him if they will always be friends, which have Hook replied that with the same qoute. This foreshadow their future rivalry in the main continuity.
